Family Healthcare • Newberry was formed in November of 1997 by Michael J. Bernardo, M.D., and his wife, Darly M. Bernardo, M.D. Both doctors began practice in Newberry County in 1992 at another office prior to establishing this practice. Dr. Mike Bernardo is bilingual and serves both English and Spanish speaking patients.

Shakisha Redmond, PA-C joined us in 2003 after earning her PA training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Rebecca Rowan, FNP is a recent addition to the NFHC staff, joining us in 2006 after earning her MS in Nursing at the University of South Carolina.

Our physicians look forward to providing quality family medical care, maternity care, and preventive health services to the people of Newberry County and beyond.
